John H. Cashwell III, Chairman
John H. Cashwell III has been a Director since 1997. He is President of Evergreen Ridge Inc. and Director for Portage Wood Products. He served as President of Seven Islands Land Company from 1992 to 2008 and as Director of the Maine Forest Service from 1987 to 1992. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Forestry from the University of Montana and a Master of Science Degree in Public Administration from the University of Maine. Mr. Cashwell served as a U.S. Army Helicopter Pilot in Vietnam and also in Operation Desert Storm and is the recipient of two Silver Stars, Distinguished Flying Cross, Soldiers Medal, Bronze Star for Valor, 45 Combat Air Medals, and the Purple Heart. He also received the 2008 Distinguished Alumnus Award from the University of Montana Forestry Alumnus Association and the 2009 Albert D. Nutting Award from Maine Forest Products.
Michael D. MacPherson, Vice-Chairman

Michael D. MacPherson has been a Director since 1997. He is the President/Owner of Just Value Associates. He has been the owner of several communications businesses in the Presque Isle area and has been Vice President and owner of Future Security, Inc. since 1993. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and an MBA from the University of Maine at Orono. He was a Captain in the U.S. Army at the Signal School in Fort Gordon, Georgia. Mr. MacPherson is the recipient of the Army Commendation Medal, Association of the United States Army Award, Superior Cadet Award and was a Distinguished Military Graduate. Mr. MacPherson's community service as President or Chairman of numerous civic organizations has been recognized by his being named a Paul Harris Fellow of The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International as well as Citizen of the Year.
Larry M. Shaw, President & CEO
Presque Isle, Maine
Larry M. Shaw has been with the Company since 1982 and serves as President and CEO. Prior to being promoted to President & CEO in 1995, Mr. Shaw served in various capacities, including Chief Operations Officer, Vice-President, Secretary, Assistant Vice-President and Assistant Secretary. He has also held various positions within the Underwriting Department from 1982 to 1992. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from the University of Maine and a Master of Science Degree from Husson College. Mr. Shaw also attended the Executive Education Program at Harvard Business School. He is a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU). He has also earned an Associate in Underwriting (AU) designation and a Certificate in General Insurance. Mr. Shaw serves on the Board of Directors of Aroostook Partnership for Progress (APP) and is a past Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer of APP. Mr. Shaw is a member of the University of Maine at Presque Isle Foundation and serves as a member of the Executive Board and Investment Committee. He also serves on the University of Southern Maine Risk Management and Insurance Program Advisory Board. He is a Director of TAMC Endowment Board and a member of TAMC Investment Committee. He also serves on the Mark and Emily Turner Foundation Scholarship Committee. Mr. Shaw is a member of the Mitchell Institute Aroostook Advisory Board. Mr. Shaw is past Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Maine Development Foundation, a past member of the Governor’s Board of Visitors for the University of Maine at Presque Isle, and is a past member of the Governor’s Financial Services Economic Development Group. Mr. Shaw is a recipient of the Maine CPCU’s Lee Allen President’s Award for Excellence.
Samuel W. Collins
Samuel W. Collins has been a Director since 2001. He has been President of S.W. Collins Company since 1981. He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics and a minor in Government from St. Lawrence University. Mr. Collins was awarded the Maine Dealer of the Year Award by the Retail Lumber Dealers Association of Maine in 1992. His community service has been recognized by his being named a Paul Harris Fellow of The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International.

Harold A. Dakin has been a Director since 1998. He was a Vice President of NYNEX Information Resources Co. from 1984 to 1995, and has been employed as an independent consultant since 1995. He holds an MBA in Management from Babson College and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Management from Northeastern University.

Tom E. Gagnon has been a Director since 1992. He has been President of H.G. Slipp Company Investments since 1994. He was a partner in Key Realty from 1994 to 2006. He attended Aroostook State Teachers College, now known as the University of Maine at Presque Isle. Mr. Gagnon owned a Ford dealership for 30 years and was named Maine’s Time Magazine Quality Dealer in 1991. He is the recipient of the Paul Harris Fellow Award, Rotary Foundation of Rotary International.

He holds an Associates Degree in Accounting from Northern Maine Technical College. Mr. McCrum founded the Maine Potato Alliance. He was named Young Farmer of the Year in 1986, Farmer of the Year in 1995, and Farm Family of the Year in 2001.
Donald W. Perkins, Jr.
Donald W. Perkins has been a Director since 2005. He is the President of Gulf of Maine Research Institute, Portland, Maine. He holds a B.A. in Anthropology from Dartmouth College where he graduated with High Distinction, Magna Cum Laude. He is a Tucker Foundation Fellow and Rufus Choate Scholar. Mr. Perkins also holds an M.B.A. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business where he received the Ernest R. Arbuckle Award. He is the Co-Chair of the Governor’s Ocean Energy Task Force and is a past appointee to the Governor’s Task Force on Planning and Development of Aquaculture in Maine. Mr. Perkins was the recipient of the 1992 Gulf of Maine Visionary Award and the 1991 Maine Audubon Society Environmental Award.
