Tom E. Gagnon has been a Director since 1992. Since 1994,
he has been President of H.G. Slipp Company Investments and a Partner in Key Realty.
He attended Aroostook State Teachers College, now known as the University of Maine at
Presque Isle. Mr. Gagnon was named Maine’s Time Magazine Quality Dealer in 1991.
He is the recipient of the Paul Harris Fellow Award, Rotary Foundation of Rotary International.

John H. Cashwell III has been a Director since 1997.
He has been President of Seven Islands Land Company since 1992 and served as Director of the
Maine Forest Service from 1987 to 1992. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Forestry from
the University of Montana and a Master of Science Degree in Public Administration from the University
of Maine. Mr. Cashwell served as a U.S. Army Helicopter Pilot in Vietnam and also in Operation Desert
Storm and is the recipient of two Silver Stars, Distinguished Flying Cross, Soldiers Medal, Bronze
Star for Valor, 45 Combat Air Medals, and the Purple Heart. |

Larry M. Shaw has been with the company since 1982 and has served as a
Director and as President and CEO since 1995. Prior to being promoted to President & CEO in
1995, Mr. Shaw has served in various capacities, including Chief Operations Officer,
Vice-President, Secretary, Assistant Vice-President and Assistant Secretary. He has also held
various positions within the Underwriting Department from 1982 to 1992. He holds a Bachelor of
Science Degree in Business Administration from the University of Maine and a Master of Science
Degree from Husson College. |

MICHAEL D. MACPHERSON

Michael D. MacPherson has been a Director since 1997. He has been the
owner of several communications businesses in the Presque Isle area and
has been Vice President and owner of Future Security, Inc. since 1993.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and an MBA from
the University of Maine at Orono. He was a Captain in the U.S. Army at
the Signal School in Fort Gordon, Georgia. Mr. MacPherson is the
recipient of the Army Commendation Medal, Association of the United
States Army Award, Superior Cadet Award and was a Distinguished Military
Graduate. Mr. MacPherson's community service as President or Chairman of
numerous civic organizations has been recognized by his being named a
Paul Harris Fellow of The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International as
well as Citizen of the Year. |

Jay Y. McCrum has been a Director since 2005. He is the President of Penobscot
McCrum LLC, Mars Hill, Maine and Belfast, Maine. He holds an Associates Degree in Accounting
from Northern Maine Technical College. Mr. McCrum founded the Maine Potato Alliance. He was
named Young Farmer of the Year in 1986, Farmer of the Year in 1995, and Farm Family of the

Donald W. Perkins has been a Director since 2005. He is the President of Gulf of
Maine Research Institute, Portland, Maine. He holds a B.A. in Anthropology from Dartmouth College
where he graduated with High Distinction, Magna Cum Laude. He is a Tucker Foundation Fellow and
Rufus Choate Scholar. Mr. Perkins also holds an M.B.A. from the Stanford Graduate School of
Business where he received the Ernest R. Arbuckle Award. He is a past appointee to the Governor’s
Task Force on Planning and Development of Aquaculture in Maine. Mr. Perkins was the recipient
of the 1992 Gulf of Maine Visionary Award and the 1991 Maine Audubon Society Environmental Award. |

been an Honorary Director since 1988. He served in various capacities with Maine Central Railroad
from 1955 to 1984, when he retired as Vice President of Sale & Marketing. Mr. Ellis served in
the U.S. Coast Guard from 1942 to 1945. |
