Homeowner Policy

MMG Insurance Company offers several Homeowner Policies to address a variety of individual needs. Whether you own your home, condominium, or mobile home; rent an apartment, or own a secondary/seasonal dwelling, you may be eligible for a MMG Insurance Company Homeowner Policy. Your local Independent Agent can work with you to design a policy tailored to meet your specific needs.

The Homeowner Policy includes:

  1. Dwelling coverage for a wide range of direct physical losses (i.e. fire, wind, smoke, vandalism, and many other causes of physical loss)
  2. Other Structures coverage for personal use structures on the residence premises (i.e. garage, barn, utility shed, work shop, guest cottage, etc.).
  3. Personal Property coverage for your personal belongings (i.e. clothing, furniture, computers, household items, etc).
  4. Loss of Use coverage should a covered loss make your home uninhabitable (i.e. additional living expenses incurred so your household can maintain its normal standard of living).
  5. Personal Liability coverage for your negligence causing accidental injury to others or damage to property of others.
  6. Medical Payments coverage that pays the necessary medical expenses incurred by non-household residents resulting from an accident causing bodily injury.

MMG Insurance Company offers a variety of additional coverages and policy "extras". The Plus Endorsement bundles numerous coverages at a reduced rate. Other available endorsements include Special Personal Property Coverage, Earthquake Coverage, Special Computer Coverage, Water Back Up and Sump Overflow, and Scheduled Personal Property.

Premiums Saving Credits Include:

bulletMerit Credit:  (loss free) save up to 12 % off your policy premium
bulletPortfolio Credit:  5%-10% is allowed on risks packaged with at least one other personal lines policy.
bulletHydrant Credit:  5% is available for risks located within 1000 feet of a hydrant.
bulletHomes built w/in the last 20 years showing evidence of superior construction and maintenance may qualify for the Elite Homeowner Plan, which includes the Homeowner Plus Endorsement at no additional charge.
bulletHomes built in the last 35 years showing evidence of above average construction and maintenance may qualify for the Master Homeowner Plan. The year of construction criteria may be waived entirely upon acceptable completion of a Revitalized Home Warranty detailing the system updates to the dwelling.
bulletDeductible Credits:  By increasing your policy deductible to $750, $1,000, $2,500 or $5,000, you will realize significant premium savings.
bulletProtective Devices Credit:  Approved and properly maintained installations of fire alarms, burglar alarms, and/or sprinkler systems result in additional savings ranging from 1%-2% for local smoke detectors, up to 10% for central station alarm systems, and up to 13% for a fully automatic sprinkler system.
