MMG Insurance of Presque Isle, Maine, is pleased to announce that its 32nd Annual Charity Golf Tournament raised $50,106 for the United Way of Aroostook.
This is the highest total in the tournament’s history, and it brings the amount donated to the United Way of Aroostook to more than $770,000 since the event’s inception.
“Our goal every year is to keep raising the bar, and this year did not disappoint,” said Matt McHatten, President and CEO of MMG Insurance. “This event would not be possible without the tremendous effort from the MMG team and phenomenal support of sponsors, donors, and golfers. The funds raised will make a considerable impact on the United Way’s mission to help those in need in Northern Maine.”
Aroostook County residents will benefit directly from the funds raised as the United Way distributes these donations to local agencies.
Sarah Duncan, Executive Director of the United Way of Aroostook, shared how much of an impact this event will have.
“United Way of Aroostook is deeply grateful for the incredible support shown at the annual MMG Charity Golf Tournament,” Duncan said. “The funds raised will significantly enhance our ability to make a meaningful impact in Aroostook County, allowing us to continue our mission of improving lives and strengthening communities. This effort demonstrates the power of collaboration and community spirit, and we are thrilled to channel these resources towards initiatives that bring positive change to those in need.”
MMG’s commitment to the United Way will continue with plans already underway for next year’s tournament, which will be held on September 12, 2026.
